Presentation of geospatial datasets and discussion of salient issues in data curation and reuse for Swiss research, and efforts underway to survey research needs.
At the CISBAT 2021 conference, we presented work bridging SCCER FEEB&D and DeCarbCH WP1, which presented:
- Open access geospatial datasets on building stock characteristics and heat demands in Switzerland, which provide the basis for a lot of further analysis as well as a template for future energy data publications in the context of WP1 Task 1
- Discussion on current and future issues in data collection, curation, and publication; considering challenges in data quality tracking and documentation, suitable ways to usefully summarise research outputs, etc.
- Presentation of ongoing work to survey researchers in DeCarbCH and in other SWEET projects to provide a basis for developing a common dataset indexing platform (with a wiki-like structure) to facilitate sharing and collaboration between research efforts.
