Together with the AEE Suisse Organization ‘Forum Energiespeicher Schweiz (FESS)’ and others, we published a paper (“Positionspapier”) on seasonal thermal energy storage. This paper points out the immense potential of these storages, which can significantly reduce the prognosed winter-electricity gap as soon as most of our heat demand is produced with heat pumps. The paper led to a wide resonance in the media, including a visit of SRF in our Thermolab as well as an interview with Prof. Dr. Jörg Worlitschek in the Luzerner Zeitung.
