Pinch Analysis is key to optimizing industrial processes and energy systems for greater efficiency and profitability. The method systematically exploits opportunities for energy savings and integration of renewable energy sources.
The conducting of Pinch Analysis projects in industrial companies is financially supported by EnergieSchweiz, the implementation program of the SFOE. More information related to the support program is listed on the EnergieSchweiz website (link below).
As an example, the HSLU Thermal Energy System and Process Engineering research group is presently conducting a pinch analysis with the HACO Group at their Gümlingen site in canton Bern. The goal is to develop specific measures to increase energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
