The SWEET Energy Data Platform is being developed and it will be available for all partners beginning of next year.

As part of SWEET DeCarbCH and CROSS, we are developing a data platform with technical and non-technical energy-related data and information on energy models.

The goal is to publish consistent and reliable information on existing (and new) data, databases, and models.

  • By having a centralized hub we aim at increasing efficiency when sharing and finding energy-related data and facilitating collaboration within and across SWEET consortia.
  • Initially, we are identifying inputs and outputs; models and existing databases from the different partners.
  • To this end, the task group conducted a survey with all SWEET research partners.

We received around 60 responses, which both facilitate the development of a useful data platform and provide an overview of the expertise and information available from the participating institutions in SWEET. The survey responses are currently being used to develope the structure of the data platform and to create the SWEET model catalog.

The results are expected to be presented by the end of the year.

Preliminary results were presented at the Energy Data Days on October 6, 2021, where they were received with great interest, given the large interest that the community has in such a data platform.
