At the beginning of the heat pump conference, which took place on June 22, 2022, at the BFH Berner Fachhochschule in Burgdorf, Prof. Martin Patel presented the DeCarbCH project for the decarbonization of cooling and heating of Switzerland. Decarbonization of industry is particularly challenging, and properly deployed heat pumps can improve energy efficiency at the same time. In a set of short presentations, three recently launched projects funded by SFOE were presented that investigate the use of heat pumps in the industry.
